List Perfectly Alternative: Where It Wins, Where We Do

If you sell clothing, sneakers, handbags and vintage, and the same item genuinely has buyers on Poshmark, Depop, Mercari and eBay, pay List Perfectly and stop reading. It is a mature cross-lister, it starts at $29 a month, and it does the thing we do not do at all: it puts one listing on nine marketplaces and takes it down everywhere when it sells.

This page is for the other person typing List Perfectly alternative — the one who is paying a subscription, sells on eBay anyway, and has started to wonder whether reach was ever the reason things weren’t moving. I sell Bitcoin miners, servers, laptops and industrial gear. Below is the honest comparison against ING Listing Engine, including a section where I ran our own sold-price database against List Perfectly’s categories and it came back with nothing four times out of five.

Every List Perfectly figure here was read off their own pages on 7 August 2026 and is linked so you can check it. Prices move.

What List Perfectly costs, and what the price gates

Read off their pricing page on 7 August 2026. Each plan includes everything in the one below it.

Plan Monthly What it adds
Simple $29 Unlimited crosslisting and listings, all marketplaces, unlimited templates, mobile access, 25 background removals and 25 AI listing-assistant uses a month. No bulk import or bulk edit.
Business $49 Bulk import, bulk edit and bulk crossposting, multi-account support, sales analytics with CSV download, 50 AI uses.
Pro $69 Pro Description Builder, Title & Keyword Generator, per-marketplace custom footers, unlimited drafts, Poshmark sharing tools, 1,500 background removals, 200 AI uses.
Pro Plus from $99 Auto Delist, sub-accounts, inventory labels, stale-listing alerts, custom AI prompt templates, 1,000 listing-assistant credits and 1,000 barcode scans. Higher tiers run $149 and $249.

Two things there matter more than the headline price. Auto Delist — the feature that stops you selling the same physical item twice — is on Pro Plus, from $99 a month. On the $29 plan you cross-list to nine places and take the sold item down yourself, nine times, every time. And there is no free trial: new members get 100 free listings and a five-day money-back guarantee, with a card at signup.

Five things List Perfectly does that we do not do at all

  1. Nine marketplaces plus Shopify and Instagram. eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective and Whatnot. We publish to eBay. That is the whole list.
  2. It runs on a Mac or a Chromebook. Any desktop with a Chromium browser. Ours is a Windows program, and if you are on a Mac we are simply not an option.
  3. A catalog holding your items and photos, reachable from any machine you log in on, with templates and per-marketplace footers. Ours is a file on your own disk, which cuts both ways.
  4. Sale detection and Auto Delist. Nothing here watches for a sale on another site, because we are not on another site.
  5. A company. Support staff, a community, years of documentation. This is one developer and a beta.

The architecture difference behind most of the rest

List Perfectly is a browser extension. In their own words, “the extension opens those sites and helps move your data into each form so you can review and publish” — it drives each marketplace’s own listing page the way you would, which is why it can reach nine sites, several of which publish no seller API at all. That is a genuinely clever answer to a hard problem.

It also sets the terms. You need a desktop or laptop running a Chromium browser; there is no native iOS or Android app, and a phone browser makes drafts but cannot crosslist. Only the US versions of the marketplaces are supported. And Auto Delist needs the extension running, sales detection on, the machine kept out of sleep, every marketplace connected and the item linked in your catalog; it doesn’t handle multi-quantity listings and it can’t get past a captcha. None of that is a defect. It is what driving someone else’s web form for a living costs.

We talk to eBay’s API and nothing else, so there is no browser sitting logged into nine marketplaces overnight. Our own cross-listing feature writes export files and posts nowhere; the Vendoo comparison works through why that is the weaker answer, and I won’t repeat it here.

I ran our database against their inventory. Four times out of five it had nothing

Our pricing case rests on a database of eBay sold records — 864,000 of them — built by someone who sells industrial and tech gear. So the fair test is not “is pricing better than reach”. It is: does that database even know what a pair of Lululemon leggings sold for?

Here is what came back on 7 August 2026, asking the same hosted comps API the app uses. Reproducible with tools/listperfectly_study.py.

What a List Perfectly seller lists Rows returned What they actually were
lululemon leggings 453 448 really are Lululemon — and none of them is a pair of leggings. They are 307 bags (152 backpacks, 114 belt bags) and 6 keychains.
levis 501 165 6 rows say Levi’s; 3 are jeans and none is a 501. The rest: two backpacks and a denim crossbody purse. The two priciest matches in the set are a PORTWELL single-board computer and a Sun Microsystems graphics card, both matched on the number 501.
patagonia fleece 3 Three genuine Patagonia fleeces. Three.
coach shoulder bag 500 All 500 are Coach bags. Median $120.17, but p10 $44.00 to p90 $268.10 — a 6.1× band, because “Coach shoulder bag” is a category, not an item.
nike air force 1 99 96 are Air Force 1s and 94% carry a style code — AO2441-001, DV7449-101, DZ4705-200. Median $65.00. This one works.

Compare the gear I actually sell. allen bradley powerflex returns 31 rows and 31 of 31 carry a catalogue number — 25B-E022N104, 22B-D017N104, 20GWANC415AN6VNHN8-RW — so you can narrow to the exact drive and the median means something. fanuc teach pendant returns 294 rows, 97% of them carrying an A05B part number.

That is the whole difference, and it isn’t about who wrote better software. Comp pricing works when the sold title identifies the object. Industrial gear, miners and sneakers put a part number in the title. Leggings, jeans and fleeces put a brand, a noun and a size, and those same words cover hundreds of different garments at hundreds of different prices. Where that is your inventory, an engine reading sold titles has little to tell you and reach is the bigger lever. Pay them.

Two caveats. Those counts are what a 500-row request returns, not the size of the database — ask the same API for a loose count and vintage levis 501 claims 27,401 rows, which is the keyword-matching problem the Terapeak comparison takes apart. And thin coverage in a category is a fact about our data collection, not a law of nature.

What a cross-lister structurally does not do

The Price Position screen in ING Listing Engine before a read, with its shelf counters at zero and the note that a fair price is not the same thing as the best price on the shelf.
Price Position in ING Listing Engine, captured 7 August 2026 in its unrun resting state — no eBay account connected, so every counter reads zero. Shown as it is, not filled with invented numbers.

List Perfectly does have pricing help: a Pricing Tool that runs a Google Lens visual match and an eBay lookup of active, sold and comparable listings while you write the listing. That is real, and it is useful. It shows you comparables and leaves the judgement to you — it does not price against a database, subtract fees and your cost basis, or change a price on a listing that is already live.

That last category is where our side spends its effort. Inventory Health reads your live listings, prices each against sold comps and refuses to suggest anything below break-even. The screen above does something different: it opens the search a buyer opens, ranks you against the listings competing with yours on delivered price — item plus shipping, because a $180 listing with $30 postage sits behind three $190 ones that ship free — then says whether what stands between you and a sale is your price, your supplier, or nobody finding the listing at all.

The interesting part is what it refuses to count, since every refusal shrinks the discount it recommends. A $1 repair-evaluation listing carrying the real model number is not a competitor. An auction sitting at $9 on day one is not an asking price. A lot of ten is not a rival to one, and a for-parts unit is not competition for a working one. When the cheapest thing on the shelf is under 65% of the median it prices against the next one up and says so. Under three comparable listings there is no shelf, and it declines to rank you at all. None of that exists in a cross-lister — not as a gap, as a different job.

The tier arithmetic, on their numbers

Simple is $348 a year; Pro Plus starts at $1,188. The $840 gap buys, among other things, the automatic delisting that keeps you from selling one item twice — and that failure is expensive, because cancelling an eBay order for stock you no longer have is a seller-cancelled transaction and counts against your account health. Run it the other way too: if you list a hundred items a month by hand, the $20 step from Simple to Business buys bulk import and bulk crossposting, and that is not a close call. Subscription software is only expensive when it solves a problem you don’t have. For how this category bills in general, we keep a breakdown of eBay listing software pricing models.

Who should pay List Perfectly, and who shouldn’t

  • Pay them if you sell apparel, shoes, accessories or home goods that have genuine buyers on Poshmark, Depop, Mercari or Grailed — and especially if you are on a Mac.
  • Pay them if you are listing in volume and your bottleneck is data entry across sites rather than what any single listing says or costs.
  • Don’t pay them for eBay alone. Nine-tenths of what you are buying is reach onto marketplaces you’re not using, and the remaining tenth is a listing form.
  • Don’t pay them if your items are heavy, technical, freight-shipped or one of a kind. There is no Poshmark buyer for an Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 at any price, and cross-listing one produces eight dead listings.
  • Look at us if you’re on Windows, sell on eBay, and your open question is what the listing should say and what it should cost. ING Listing Engine is a free download during the beta; you bring your own AI API key and pay that bill directly, which is the only cost.
  • Use both if you genuinely have two kinds of inventory. They don’t conflict — just don’t let two tools revise the same live eBay price.

If repricing is the actual question, the eBay repricing guide goes deeper into the arithmetic than this page has room for.

Questions people ask before switching

Is List Perfectly worth it if I only sell on eBay?

Probably not. Nine-tenths of what the subscription buys is reach onto marketplaces you are not using – Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, Grailed, Vestiaire. The remaining tenth is a listing form and a catalogue. If eBay is your only channel, what decides whether you make money is what the listing says and what it is priced at, and a cross-lister is not built to answer either.

Is there a free List Perfectly alternative?

Not a free cross-lister worth running. List Perfectly has no free tier – new members get 100 free listings and a five-day money-back guarantee, with a card at signup, which is a trial. Free software here tends to mean one of three incompatible things: a permanently capped tier, a time-boxed trial, or software that is free because you supply your own AI API key. ING Listing Engine is the third kind and does not cross-list, so it is not a like-for-like swap.

Does List Perfectly work on a Mac?

Yes – it runs as an extension in Chrome or another Chromium browser on any desktop or laptop, Windows, macOS or Chromebook. That is a real advantage over a Windows-only program like ours. There is no native iOS or Android app; a phone browser can make drafts and manage images, but crosslisting needs a device that supports extensions, and only the US versions of the marketplaces are supported.

Do I need the Pro Plus plan to stop selling the same item twice?

For the automatic version, yes. Auto Delist is a Pro Plus feature, from $99 a month, and it needs sales detection on, the extension running, the machine kept out of sleep, every marketplace connected and the item linked in your catalogue. It does not cover multi-quantity listings and cannot get past a captcha. On cheaper plans you take the sold item down yourself – fine at twenty items, unmanageable at four hundred.

Can List Perfectly tell me what to price an item at?

It can show you comparables. The Pricing Tool runs a Google Lens visual match and an eBay lookup of active, sold and comparable listings while you write, then leaves the judgement to you. What it does not do is compute a price from a sold database, subtract fees and your cost basis to check it clears break-even, or change the price on a listing that is already live.
