Vendoo Alternative: An Honest Feature-by-Feature Look

If you sell clothing, shoes and accessories, and the same item has a real audience on Poshmark, Depop, Mercari and eBay, stay on Vendoo. Nothing below is going to change that, and a page that pretended otherwise would be wasting your afternoon. Vendoo is a mature cross-lister, it costs $14.99 a month, and it does the one thing we do not do at all: it posts your listing to ten other marketplaces and pulls it back down when it sells.

This page is for the other person searching Vendoo alternative — the one who is paying for cross-listing, mostly sells on eBay anyway, and is starting to suspect that reach was never the reason their stuff isn’t moving. I sell Bitcoin miners, servers, laptops and industrial gear. Vendoo would be the wrong tool for me for reasons that have nothing to do with how good it is. Here is the whole comparison, including the five things it does better than ING Listing Engine.

What Vendoo actually costs and does

Checked against Vendoo’s own pricing page on 29 July 2026. They simplified this at some point — older comparison articles still describe per-item tiers and paid add-ons for importing and extra marketplaces, and that is no longer what the page says. Verify before you buy; it may have moved again by the time you read this.

Plan Monthly Annual What it adds
Free $0 5 items, 3 background removals
Starter $14.99 $12.49/mo Unlimited items, all marketplaces, sale detection and auto-delisting, importing, delist & relist, analytics, iOS and Android apps
Growth $29.99 $24.99/mo AI Listing Enhancement, bulk actions up to 240 listings, up to 300 PhotoRoom background removals
Pro $59.99 $49.99/mo Auto Send Offers on 6+ marketplaces, marketplace sharing for Poshmark, Depop and Grailed, 1,500 background removals, listing videos

There is a 14-day trial and an Enterprise tier for sellers creating over 1,000 new listings a month. Set against the rest of the market, those figures sit mid-table — see what AI listing software costs across five vendors, priced the same day. Crosslisting targets named on the site: eBay, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, Etsy, Depop, Shopify, Whatnot, Grailed, Vestiaire Collective and Vinted. Sale detection covers a shorter list — eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot and Etsy.

The five things Vendoo does better, and the one that actually matters

Four of them are obvious from the table: ten marketplaces to our zero, a phone app to our Windows-only desktop, real support staff against one person, and years of production use against a beta. Take those seriously. “Free” stops being a feature the first time a tool eats a Saturday and there is nobody to email.

The fifth is the one worth paying for on its own. Sale detection and auto-delist. If you list one item in five places and it sells in one of them, the other four are now live listings for something you no longer own. Vendoo scans your connected marketplaces every ten minutes and pulls the item down. That is not a convenience feature — it is the thing standing between you and cancelling a sale, which on eBay is a defect on your account.

Worth knowing how it works, because their own help centre is refreshingly plain about it: Vendoo must be “actively running in an open browser tab”, and “your computer must be turned on and connected to the marketplaces” for detection and delisting to work. Sleep mode off. The mobile app does not detect sales by itself — the desktop does the work and the phone shows the result. And on a multi-quantity listing, Vendoo detects the sale but will not delist until the last unit goes.

None of that is a criticism — it is what a browser-based cross-lister is, and every tool in this category works the same way. But if you pictured a service reconciling your inventory while your laptop is shut, it isn’t that.

Our cross-listing is a file, not a post — and that difference is the whole risk

Being straight about this, because it is the reason most people searching for a Vendoo alternative should not switch. ING Listing Engine has a cross-listing exporter. It turns a finished eBay draft into ready-to-post listings for Facebook Marketplace, Mercari and Amazon, and it is honest in the UI about what each file is: Facebook gets a catalog CSV that Commerce Manager’s data-feed importer actually ingests, Amazon gets a flat file matching the Inventory Loader template, and Mercari gets a worksheet, because Mercari has no public bulk importer and pretending otherwise would be a lie you’d discover at upload time.

It does real work on the way out. Titles are truncated to each site’s limit on a word boundary, never mid-word — Mercari 80 characters, Facebook 100, Amazon 200. Facebook and Mercari have no item-specifics fields, so brand, MPN and UPC fold into the description instead of quietly vanishing. Where a condition vocabulary has fewer grades than eBay’s, the item lands on the lower one.

The pricing is the part I’d defend hardest. Copying an eBay price onto Amazon is a silent margin leak: on a $1,250 item, Amazon’s 15% referral fee leaves $1,062.50 against eBay’s $1,083.98 — $21.48 gone per unit and nothing on screen tells you. Every marketplace card shows the net-parity price instead. It runs the other way too: Mercari charges the seller no selling fee, so the same item can be listed $108.96 below the eBay price and still hand you an identical $1,083.98 — which is how you win the cheapest-listing slot without earning a cent less.

And then it stops. No request ever leaves your machine for Facebook, Mercari or Amazon. Nothing posts. Nothing watches. Nothing delists. If your item sells on eBay at 2am, the Facebook listing is still up at 3am and will be up next week. That is a worse product than Vendoo for this job, not a different philosophy, and if cross-listing is your bottleneck you should pay Vendoo the $14.99.

Two more caveats on our side. The exporter landed on 26 July 2026; the installer on this site was built on the 24th, so it is not in the download you’d get today. And the fee rates it uses are each marketplace’s published standard rates, not your account’s, because no marketplace exposes a fee API.

What an eBay-only tool does that Vendoo doesn’t

Vendoo answers where else can I list this? Nothing in it answers is this price right? — there is no sold-comp research, no repricing and no sourcing in the product, and their site doesn’t claim any.

That is the whole reason this app exists. It prices against 864,000 sold eBay records, reprices live listings without ever going under your break-even, sends offers to watchers against a floor that accounts for eBay’s cut scaling with the sale, and tells you what to pay before you buy. It also has the one screen that speaks directly to the cross-listing question:

The Where to Sell Highest screen in ING Listing Engine, an unrun resting state with the item field reading Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro 104TH, zip code 89101 and a 40-mile radius. The empty-state panel reads: you don't get paid the price, you get paid what's left. A footnote below explains that eBay's figure is what buyers paid while every other venue's figure comes from what sellers nearby are asking, that those asks are marked down 10 percent before they compete, that a venue with fewer than three matching listings is shown but never crowned, and that Mercari is never given a price estimate at all
Where to Sell Highest, at rest — nothing has been run. Note the footnote it prints on itself: outside eBay, no site publishes sold prices, so every non-eBay figure here is an ask marked down 10%. That is a weaker answer than Vendoo simply listing the thing in five places and finding out.

It is read-only. It ranks venues by what lands in your pocket after each one’s fees and shipping, and it will not crown a venue with fewer than three matching listings. Useful for deciding whether cross-listing is worth it for a given item. Useless for actually doing it.

Does cross-listing pay for itself? Here is the arithmetic

Starter is $179.88 a year. So the honest question is not “is Vendoo good” but “will ten marketplaces produce enough extra sales to clear $179.88”.

Take a category Vendoo’s own users sell. Pulling 500 recent coach handbag sold records from our comp database and filtering to whole bags — dropping straps, charms, wallet-only and lots — leaves 264 priced sales with a median of $124.75 (sold 30 April – 5 May 2026). At eBay’s 13.6% plus the $0.40 per-order fee, $17.37 comes off, leaving $107.38 before what you paid and what shipping costs. If your margin on a bag like that is $50, Vendoo pays for itself at roughly four extra sales a year. For anyone with handbags sitting unsold, that bar is on the floor. Pay them.

Now my inventory. In a set of 22 byte-identical listing titles for the same Antminer S19 XP in the same stated condition, completed sales ran from $175.50 to $455.00. Same machine, same words, a $279.50 gap. Getting the price right on a single one of those is worth more than a year of Vendoo’s Starter plan — and there is no Poshmark, Depop, Grailed or Vestiaire buyer for an ASIC miner at any price. Ten marketplaces would give me nine empty rooms.

That is the actual dividing line, and it isn’t about which tool is better. Cross-listing pays when your item has a second audience. Pricing pays when it doesn’t. Most sellers can work out within one minute which of those describes them.

One number of ours that is wrong

While checking eBay’s fees for this page I checked our own. The app’s default final value fee is 13.25%. eBay’s rate for most categories is 13.6%, and has been since the February 2025 fee change. On a $1,000 sale our estimate understates eBay’s cut by $3.50, in the direction that flatters a deal.

It is a default, not a fiction — the rate is editable, and once a sale settles the app reads the real marketplace fee off the order rather than estimating. But every “pay up to” and “break even” figure computed before that point is 0.35 points optimistic, and you should know that if you are leaning on one. Written here rather than quietly patched, because a comparison page that only audits the competitor isn’t a comparison.

Which one you should actually use

Use Vendoo if the same item genuinely sells on more than one marketplace; if you list from a phone; if you need someone to answer a support ticket; or if the number of places your inventory appears is what’s limiting your sales.

Use an eBay-only tool if your stock is technical, industrial, heavy or one-of-a-kind and no other marketplace has buyers for it; if your listings are getting seen and not bought, which is a price problem and not a reach problem; or if you have capital tied up in listings that stopped selling months ago and nothing is telling you so.

Use both if you can be bothered — they don’t overlap anywhere. Vendoo moves listings between sites. This prices them.

If the second list sounds like you, the Windows installer is free while it’s in beta — bring your own Claude API key, no card, no account. If the first list sounds like you, go and buy Vendoo. Then read how to price the things you’re cross-listing, because that part is still on you.

Questions people ask before switching

What is the best Vendoo alternative for eBay-only sellers?

If you only sell on eBay, the honest answer is that you may not need a Vendoo alternative at all – you need a different category of tool. Vendoo’s core job is posting one item to several marketplaces and delisting it everywhere when it sells. On a single marketplace there is nothing to cross-post and nothing to delist, so what is left to solve is pricing, repricing and sourcing. Compare tools on those instead of looking for a cheaper cross-lister.

Is there a free Vendoo alternative?

Vendoo itself has a free tier capped at 5 items, which is enough to test it and not enough to run on. Beyond that, free tools in this space tend to be free in one of three different ways: a permanently limited tier, a time-boxed trial, or software that is free because you supply your own AI API key and pay that bill directly. ING Listing Engine is the third kind and is currently a free open beta, but it does not cross-list, so it is not a like-for-like swap.

Does Vendoo do price research or repricing?

No. Vendoo publishes a marketplace fee calculator and a profit margin calculator on its website, and its analytics report on what you have already sold, but the product does not research sold comparables, does not tell you what an item is worth before you list it, and does not reprice live listings against the market. That is not a gap in their product so much as a different product – cross-listing and pricing are separate jobs.

What happens if I cross-list and forget to delist after a sale?

You end up selling the same physical item twice. On eBay, cancelling an order because you no longer have the item counts as a seller-cancelled transaction and damages your account health; other marketplaces have their own equivalents. This is precisely why automatic sale detection is the single most valuable feature in a cross-lister, and why cross-listing manually from exported files carries a real risk that a tool like Vendoo removes.

Is Vendoo worth $14.99 a month?

Work it backwards. $14.99 a month is $179.88 a year, so cross-listing has to produce enough extra sales to clear that. On a mid-priced item with, say, $50 of margin, that is about four additional sales across a whole year – a low bar if your inventory genuinely has buyers on Poshmark, Mercari or Depop. It is an unreachable bar if it doesn’t, because listing an item in nine places where nobody is shopping for it produces nine dead listings.

Can I use Vendoo and an eBay pricing tool at the same time?

Yes, and they do not conflict, because they touch different things. A cross-lister moves listings between marketplaces; a pricing tool sets and revises the number on them. The only thing to watch is that two tools should not both be revising the same live eBay listing automatically – decide which one owns the price and let the other one alone.
