AI Listing Software Cost: What You Actually Pay in 2026

Priced per month, eBay listing tools run from $0 to $184.99. Priced the way it
actually hits you — per listing — the same tools run from about three cents to a dollar fifty,
and which end you land on depends almost entirely on how many things you list, not on which
logo you picked. Below are the real numbers, read off five vendors’ own pricing pages on
29 July 2026, plus the arithmetic that turns a monthly price into a per-listing
one. It is the calculation nobody selling AI eBay listing
software puts on their pricing page, including us.

Four tags, four sizes, one box. The spread in this category is not about what the software does — it is about how the vendor decided to meter it.

The five pricing models, and what each one really charges for

Every tool in this market picks one of five ways to bill you, and which one you are looking at
tells you more than the headline number does.

Flat subscription, unlimited listings. SixBit — a Windows
desktop eBay lister shipping far longer than we have — runs $29.99, $49.99, $99.99, $139.99 and
$184.99 across five editions with no per-item cap. Vendoo is $14.99 / $29.99 /
$59.99 monthly ($12.49 / $24.99 / $49.99 billed yearly). List Perfectly is $29 /
$49 / $69 / $99+. Easiest model to reason about; its only trap is charging the same in the month
you list four things as in the month you list four hundred.

Metered by listing count. Crosslist: Bronze $29.99 for 200 new
listings a month, Silver $34.99 for 500, Gold $39.99 for 1,000, Diamond $44.99 unlimited. Fifteen
dollars separates cheapest from dearest and buys a five-fold cap increase — the tiers are
packaging, not economics.

Metered by AI credits, separately from listings. The newest model, and where the
money quietly moves. List Perfectly is unlimited on listings but capped on AI:
25 assistant uses a month on Simple, 50 on Business, 200 on Pro, 1,000+ on Pro Plus. Crosslist is
franker — AI is a +$4.99/month add-on carrying 200 to 2,000 credits by tier. Do
that division and you learn what the marketing does not say: a credit costs a quarter of a cent,
and no frontier vision model writes a full, category-aware listing for that. Fine for a catalogued
sneaker; not fine for an uncatalogued FANUC teach pendant.

Research subscriptions are a different budget line. ZIK Analytics
is $39.90/month for Pro and $59.90 for Pro+ with a $1 trial, and it lists nothing for you — it
competes with Terapeak, not with a lister. Sellers bolt it on and then call their “listing
software cost” $70 a month. Keep the lines apart, or read our

Bring your own API key. The software is free; the AI is not, and you pay for it
directly rather than through a vendor’s margin. That is what ING Listing Engine does, and it
behaves least like the other four — which is the point of the two sections below.

The 2026 price table

Every figure below was read off the vendor’s own pricing page on 29 July 2026.
Prices in this category move; check the date before you trust the number.

Divide by listings, not by months

A monthly price is not a cost. The cost is what one finished listing takes out of your margin,
and that number moves by a factor of fifty depending on your volume. Same subscriptions, three
volumes:

Read the bottom row against the rest and you have the honest summary of this entire page.
A subscription gets cheaper per listing the more you list. An API bill does not.
Ours is flat, so it wins at the bottom of the table and loses at the top. Somewhere around
60 listings a month Vendoo’s $14.99 Starter plan costs less per listing than our
ceiling does; against List Perfectly Simple and SixBit the crossover is nearer 120.

Where the ≤ $0.25 comes from

That number is a ceiling, not an average, and every input is checkable.

• The app generates listings with Claude Opus 4.8 (claude-opus-4-8),
  and it caps each listing call at 8,192 output tokens.
• Anthropic’s published rate for that model on 29 July 2026 is $5 per
  million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens.
• 8,192 × $25 ÷ 1,000,000 = $0.2048. That is the hard ceiling on the output half
  of one listing. The cap is in the code, so the model cannot run past it however long-winded it
  gets.
• The input side is one photo plus the prompt. Even allowing a generous 10,000 input tokens,
  10,000 × $5 ÷ 1,000,000 = $0.05.

Add them and one listing cannot cost more than about $0.25 in tokens. In
practice it will be a good deal less, because a finished eBay listing is nowhere near 8,192
tokens of output. We have not published a measured average, and we are not going to
invent one — what we can stand behind is the ceiling and the arithmetic that produces
it. If your real cost lands at $0.10, every crossover in the section above roughly doubles: 150
listings a month against Vendoo Starter, 290 against List Perfectly.

The closest like-for-like: List Perfectly Pro is $69/month with 200 AI
listing-assistant uses. Ignore everything else that $69 buys and it is
$0.345 per AI listing, above our ceiling. The fair reading is not “we’re
cheaper” — it is that a metered-AI plan charges you a margin on the model and a
bring-your-own-key tool charges you the model’s cost. Predictable bill, or smaller one.

What “free” means here, in four incompatible senses

Four vendors above advertise something free. Only one is software you can use indefinitely
without paying.

1. A permanent free tier with a hard cap. Vendoo’s free plan is genuinely free
   forever — at five items a month. If that is your volume, it is a complete answer and you can
   stop reading.
2. A money-back window. Crosslist’s 3-day guarantee applies only under 20
   listings, and an annual refund deducts $9.99. List Perfectly’s is a 100-listing guarantee.
   Refunds, not free tiers — you pay first.
3. A paid trial. ZIK’s $1 trial is a dollar. Fine, but the word “free” is doing
   work in the marketing that it does not do in your bank account.
4. Free software, paid AI. Ours. Nothing to pay us, no card taken, and a real
   bill from Anthropic that scales with your listing count. Calling that “free eBay listing
   software” without the second half of the sentence would be dishonest, which is why the second
   half is on this page.

What happens when the beta ends

No price has been announced, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The app
ships licence-activation plumbing, so it is fair to assume it will not be free forever — anyone
telling you a free beta is a permanent commitment is guessing. Two things are firm: the beta
takes no card, so nothing converts to a charge behind your back, and your API key is
yours — your account, your billing, portable to any other tool that accepts one. That is
the part of the spend a vendor cannot lock up.

When paying a subscription is the right call

Genuinely, and often. Four cases where the money is better spent elsewhere:

• You sell on more than one marketplace. Vendoo, List Perfectly and Crosslist
  post to eight to eleven of them. We are eBay-only — our cross-listing exporter writes files and
  posts nothing. If that is your bottleneck, $14.99 solves it and we do not; the
  feature-by-feature comparison with Vendoo scores the rows we
  lose.
• You list from a phone. Every tool above runs in a browser or an app. Ours is a
  Windows desktop application.
• You do not want to hold an API key. A real barrier, and worse UX than a
  checkout page. If pasting a key into a settings box is a hard no, buy a metered plan.
• You list at volume and only need listings created. Past a hundred-odd a month,
  a $14.99 flat plan beats a per-listing API bill. SixBit at $29.99 is the closest structural twin
  to what we build — Windows desktop, unlimited listings — and it has been doing that job for
  years longer. It is also the closest surviving thing to Turbo Lister, which is how most people meet it.

What none of them do is tell you what to charge. Every tool in the table creates listings; not one
prices your item against real sold comps, which moves more money than listing speed does. That is
the argument for the free beta, and the same argument behind the
repricer that refuses to price below your cost.

How much does AI eBay listing software cost in 2026?

$14.99 to $99 a month for the mainstream cross-listing tools, up to $184.99 for SixBit’s top
desktop edition — all read from vendor pricing pages on 29 July 2026. Divided by volume that is
roughly $0.03 to $1.50 a listing. A bring-your-own-key tool costs nothing monthly and prices per
listing instead; for ING Listing Engine the ceiling is about $0.25 of Claude API usage.

Is there genuinely free eBay listing software?

Only with a cap or a catch. Vendoo’s free plan is permanent at five items a month. Crosslist and
List Perfectly offer money-back windows, which means you pay first. ING Listing Engine is free
during its open beta with no card, but you supply your own Claude API key and pay Anthropic for
usage. eBay’s own listing tools are the other genuinely free option, and worth trying before you
buy anything.

Why do some tools charge extra for AI?

Because every AI listing costs the vendor real money, so they cap it or bill it. List Perfectly
caps AI uses at 25 to 1,000+ a month by tier; Crosslist sells AI as a +$4.99/month add-on with
200 to 2,000 credits. At $4.99 for 2,000 credits a credit is a quarter of a cent — a useful
signal about how large the model behind it can be.

Is bring-your-own-API-key cheaper than a subscription?

Below roughly 60 listings a month, yes, often by a lot, because you pay only for what you
generate. Above it a flat $14.99 plan wins and keeps winning as volume rises. The API bill is
flat per listing; a subscription is not.

What will ING Listing Engine cost after the beta?

Unannounced. The app carries licence-activation code, so expect a paid tier eventually. The beta
takes no payment details, and the Claude API key you set up stays yours and portable whatever
happens to the software’s price.
